Default Clunking

Every once in a while when I put my Ram in reverse it makes a clunking noise sounds like the trans mount any opinions?

could be mounts, u joints or rear diff gears. . . how many miles on your truck? i doubt its the rear diff if it sounds like its under you but i've seen a lot of play in some rear differentials where the fluid was low and the gears wear out. take a pry bar and pry around on the trans mount. if it moves easily i'd look into replacing it. also like stated above; check the u joints. when they wear they clunk whenever changing direction. (ie forward to reverse/ reverse to forward)
