Post X or true dual?

Hey guys, im planning on either true dualling my 2000 dodge half ton and i would like to share some ideas and see what you think. If i was to true dual it off my shorties would it be alright if i just but the oxygen sensors in one pipe, then put a temp guage in both pipes to moniter problems. Or the other option putting an x pipe some where in there and sticking the front oxygen sensor in the middle and the back one just in one of the pipes. I would like to use 3inch pipe because im not a very big fan of snappage, but i would also like to have performance and sound. I like things loud!

There was a thread a few weeks ago talking about true duels and how to run the O2 sensors, not sure if there was ever a solution or not.

But I think most would suggest an "X" or "H" pipe in there somewhere.

Edit:

If it were me, I'd just true duel with some nice MagnaFlow mufflers.

I ran true duals and just put the O2's in 1 side. No problems. You might get a little more power/torque with the X pipe I just don't care for the sound as much.

H or X pipe fools the engine into thinking the collectors are actually longer than they really are, it's good for low-end grunt.
