You didn't specify which sound was the x pipe and which sound was the h pipe. I like the sound of that second option, I'm guessing it's the h pipe?

All depends on labor/parts rates in your area. Just call around and ask.

I would think an X pipe would flow better than an H.

An H pipe isn't about flow, in and of itself. It's more about balancing flow between the two sides.

We used to do true duals (exit wherever you want) for around 200 bucks. But then, we were one of the least expensive exhaust shops in town. (manifolds back)

Just seems like an X would do a better job, seems like it would be easier for the exhaust to flow through than the H...

$200 for true duel, sign me up

Default H-pipe

Like Hey You said the H-pipe is all about exhaust balance, most if not all V-twin motorcycles have a balance tube running between the header pipes on the OEM exhaust systems.

X pipe is more of the vroom and duals are the brapapap lol. I've read quite a bit on the x or h pipe debate- mostly with mustangs when I had mine. Some gained a few hp switching from h to x, some lost a little hp, etc. Get whatever you like the sound of and don't worry about that 1 or 2 hp you may or may not be gaining . Also I paid $225 for my duals with glasspacks and tips.

Man that's cheap. I was quoted $400 to run duels and he wanted to duel it back from factory Y. And that was just labor and parts, NOT including mufflers and tips....
