Default Plans for the ram in the next few years.

Hey there. I know I'm just kinda here from late fall to early spring because that's when my cars in storage. Anyways I'm planning on fixing my truck up and probably turning it into my daily in the future. I really don't have any pictures of it right now and I wish I would've gotten some before I crushed the passenger side last summer and put in the leveling kit last weekend. Anyways I'm planning on doing all of the body work, (passenger rocker, both rear wheel wells, both lower door skins, and other misc. steel replacement. I then will repaint it from the split 2-tone it is currently (brown on top and bottom and silver down the middle) to a charcoal gray along the bottom and white from the molding up. Once the body work and paint is done I'm thinking a 3" suspension lift and 35" tires. Then I'll regear to 4.10.

This will be within the next 3 years. I will be doing the body and paint in school the next 2 years and everything else after school. I also am working on my project car on the side (a 67 GTO) so I'm trying to put as much money into that as I do the dirty 'ol dodge. My dad really wants the goat out of the garage cause its been in there for 7 years already lol so what's a few more right?

Anyways I'm looking for some input and comments, thanks

5" lift with 35's. You will be happier. Also, 4.56 gears. Again, you will be happier. If you don't do a lot of freeway driving, might even consider 4.88s. Gobs of low-end grunt.

I was considering a 5" lift but its quite a bit more $$$ than the 3" and like I said I'm rebuilding my gto also so I've goda stick money there too, by the time I put in the lift tho i might change my mind I just put in the 2" leveling kit so the lift won't be till later. Any pics of 3"lift with 35s vs 5" lift with 35s? As for gearing I was thinking about 4.56s but I do quite a but of highway driving that's why I figured 4.10s; again that could change though.

To post pics, get yourself a photobucket, or imageshack account. Upload your photos there, then use the img tags to post them here. Most pic hosts will have a little box that pops up with the correct code when you select a pic. Makes it really easy.

4.56 gears and 35 inch tires will put your engine RPM almost exactly where it was with stock gears/tires. 4.88's will bump you about 200 RPM at 60 MPH.

I was halfway through collecting parts to put 4.88's in my '95, then I got in a wreck. It will still happen someday, it's just on the back burner now I guess.

So here's a few pics of my goat. She ain't pretty; no paint, no interior, no rear diff. Most of the parts are in the top loft of our shop. If I come across some of the pics from day 1 I'll post them up.
