The hemi is actually really comparable when it comes to acceleration, but does not have the pull that the V10 has, horsepower they are really close, but the V10 kills the hemi with the torque

Notice how carefully Dodge avoids 6.0L engines? And Ford loves them? Here's the difference, and why I will NEVER buy a 6.0L: There is something about a 6.0L displacement that no one seems to be able to figure out, they just don't work as good as anything else besides 6.0L. And in Ford's case they like to blow injectors to pieces... I have been told by a machine shop and a good friend who is a diesel mechanic that you can bore a 6.0L engine out to 6.1L and it will work just fine.

I believe the current Powerstroke in Ford products is the first diesel designed and built by Ford, before that I think they were built for them by Navistar. Not sure why they would bother with Cummins

If I like diesels, they are Deutz, Cummins, and International NaviStar. Any of those are fine with me. Yeah Ford is building their own Powerstrokes now.

Really? They have a 6.4? I haven't seen it on their site yet but maybe I missed it. I'd look it up right now 'cept I am remoting into my computer right now LOL...

I would take my 360 over a 3rd gen Hemi any day. When they start putting the 6.4 Hemi into the trucks is when I will consider buying a new one... As for diesels... Ford has had Cummins motors in their HD work trucks for some time now.. F-650 750 7000's etc... If cummins ever stopped going into dodge I would want a CAT... Yes CAT is expensive but they pull and they pull HARD... Ive driven a number of different Commercial Diesels.. Cummins is up front. Then CAT.... All others I wasnt all that impressed with... Also forgot to add Mack in there.. that would be another choice for me.

And if I am looking at it from a working standpoint?? Stay away from a Detroit and Mercedes diesel.. Atleast in the HD commercial line..
