in all seriousness... im not entirely sure i want to buy the truck. i just want to get the top end built on my truck to get the power/torque needed to pull this massive camper we might be getting.

Yea. I wish I could say that. However I notice that when I'm spinning I've got equal amounts of no traction and both my rears spin
I wouldn't make it up the first hill if it were snow covered. Hell, I don't think I could back out of my driveway if snow covered without the rear or front breaking lose and sliding down the damn hill

4.56's for the win my friend... Those along with everything else you are planning it will be a nice little tow rig.
thats the plan next year, either 4.56, or 4.88 gears. i talked with richard from hipotek and he says that the 3.55's are ok for now with the cam he will be supplying me with.

the 98 could be considered a donor truck, but it runs too damn good for me to pay that kinda money for it just for the transmission.
