It pays off to roll your own smokes.. The initial investment of buying a GOOD machine and the blanks and tobacco is worth the price it will save... I did the math before and it comes out to like 1.50 or 2 bucks a pack when you roll your own..

 

Exactly. This is what I do. I have to buy the pipe tobacco though, as someone had the brilliant idea of taxing the loose tobacco too... and my price went from 6 bucks, to 28 bucks, overnight. The pipe tobacco is the same stuff, with different printing on the bag... that's it.

There was a guy I went to school with who rolled his own. This was back in the day when you could walk down the hallway smoking. He would roll one up between classes in the hall and everyone was always thinking he was rolling a joint...
