West and north central Texas. We use sand. Cheaper than salt!

Since I love to nit-pick, why not post your query in your original thread to keep all relevant information in one place?

South Georgia. Not so much Northern Georgia, as they do see some snow. As already mentioned, just expect a cracked dash.

most parts of NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, FL
inspect the truck, or obtain pictures, of the undercarriage and fender wells to make sure its rust free.

Trucks and cars are shipped all over the country during auctions/re-sales. Where a truck was originally from or purchased is no guarantee that it will be rust free. The only true way to tell is to inspect the truck first hand. My Dakota was originally a PA DOT truck, but did not have a speck of rust on it. I never ran a carfax on my Ram but it was also rust free. My current truck is an original to NC truck and again, no rust anywhere.

My truck was bought in Idaho but has spent its whole life here in the Seattle area. Still no rust.

my truck originally came from texas when it was bought brand new...then original owner traded it in at a dealer here in WA, and then I got my grubby hands on it.

its got rust not. but it doesn't have a cracked dash..

cracked dash is unheard of around these parts..but rust definitely is not unheard of. nor is mildew as its always raining around here. (which is why cracked dash is unheard of...)
