Ok got tuner. Did it in parking lot after work. Definately the easiest mod i've ever done. Did the 87 octane tune. Noticed a slight difference. Havent tried the 89 or 91 yet. Probably alot bigger difference after i install one of those.
If plenum is good and other things as well, you should have noticed more than a slight difference, expecially during acceleration. I don't think I have ever changed from 87 tune (since I run 87 oct gas...).
I don't notice any pinging but i don't have the tstat installed yet. Hemifever said it'll be fine running it with the stock tstat throughout winter because it's cold enough.
But i got the tuner awhile back and have it on the 91 tune with 33x12.50s and it carries them right along. But i didn't do any tune up or plenum fix yet. I'll be doing them in the future though.
got my tuner yesterday. loaded the 93 tune right away cause i had 93 in the tank. havent had a chance to test out the power yet. got an engine(360) in the bed, and the plow is on. motor is coming out friday afternoon, and we're getting snow saturday night, so ill test it while plowing.
i installed the 91 last nite. going to see how it does on my way to work. i have another question. it says it can be used to read and clear codes. is that only on dodges or can that be used on any obd2 vehicle?
