Default Sct tuner question

Im looking to get a sct tuner from hemifever. My only mods are 14x3 air cleaner, gutted cat, sparkplug non fouler on rear o2 sensor, and single straight pipe. The truck does ping bad when going up hill. Its running 265 tires. Is it worth it to get the sct tuner or will i even notice a difference with only the very minor mods?

Yes it is worth it.. You will see an increase in power.. It will get even better the more you mod cause Hemifever can do custom tunes for what mods you will do in the future... Well worth the investment.

Being a 2000, you may or may not have the "death flash" on your computer. If you do, the SCT will eliminate it and you will notice a huge difference, as the death flash takes power away or some crud (I didn't have it on mine so I don't know very well). It will also remove the torque management that you have on the transmission. The torque management was Dodge's way of trying to make the transmission last longer, but ended up hurting them (Mine being a 96, I didn't have this also). I'm sure others will chime in to correct me.

Make sure everything else is in good shape before you get it though, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PLENUM, etc.

Let me second this suggestion. MAKE REAL SURE everything else is up to snuff before applying a tuner.

Did cap, rotor, plugs, and wires last summer. Shined a light down trottle body didnt see any oil pooling. Havent pulled throttle body yet though. Im going to put duals on it this summer. Put new heater core in yesterday. Hoping it will actually blow heat now lol. Another question i just put a remote start on it last week. Will tuner mess with that at all?

Nope. Remote start won't care one whit about PCM programming. The reverse is also true.

X2. I have both, SCT and remote start. No problems as they are not related.
