Gutting my catalytic converter
If anything, gut the cat and then weld a straight pipe inside the cat....thats what some guys do around here to remain legal. Where I live, you have to have the original emissions equipment installed on pre-96 vehicles. They dont have to work, but they have to be there. After 96 your screwed unless you do the o2 sensor trick because they plug into the OBD port to run diagnostics for emissions.

heck, in a couple weeks, ill have a magnaflow direct fit cat forsale. yeah its used, but still functions as it should.
