Default Which is better? (lifts)

I am wanting to buy a lift for my 98 dodge ram 1500 4x4 but not real sure on which way to go. Should i just get a regular suspension lift or would a long arm suspension lift be better?

How much lift? There are a number of threads about lift here. I would review those and see what others have done and any challenges they had.

Long arm will ride/drive better, but, is more complicated/expensive to install. (not to mention the initial additional expense for the kit....)
