I know the 4.7's drop valves like *****, and the valve springs on the 2003 Hemis are bad. And the early Hemis are notorious for "Hemi-tick" from the valve train.
But then, we're known for bad intakes, cracked heads, crappy transmissions, bad steering, death wobble, bum LSD's and crappy brakes.
Yea my dad has an 04 hemi that has that annoying little tick...runs like a raped ape still tho. Never had any issues with it other than an ignition coil and the stupid EVAP system acting up and throwing out a code every once in a while. Had to replace a couple o2 sensors too but i don't really think that's out of the ordinary at 91k miles. I love the hemi for its top end power but hate it for its difficulty to work on and annoying little designs (16 spark plugs?!? are you f'n kiddin me?). I'll take my 01 over the 04 any day
Never had any of that. Take care of your crap kid!
Sooooon.

I'm sooo glad my dad doesn't have a Hemi. It's hard enough replacing 8 plugs on the 4.7
Still on factory 02 sensors though.
The 03 and some 04's were the only ones with the valve drop issue.. Which can be easily fixed with a set of 6.1 springs.. I would buy a Hemi if I couldnt find a Diesel I liked
