Wow.
I dunno what you've got going there, but I've never heard of more than 7 or 8 in town with a full size gas V8 Ram.

I get 13 highway.

You must be a leadfoot. Most people are. Plenty of folks get 12 around town that I have read about on this site though.

My dad is far from a leadfoot. He drives far more conservative then I. He drives like a grandpa, actually. And his truck is lighter.
I think weight has a lot to do with it too and what type of traffic has it too.

My traffic here is bad for a city of 100k. As in 45mph speed limit with the damn f@ggots doing 30 for no reason. Then there's the massive concrete medians and the mistimed lights....I have lots of reasons for 7 mpg....3.55's are one of them.

I get an average of 13.5 with mixed city/highway. And I drive hard, in and around a city well over 100,000, and sometimes a 30 minute wait on the commute in construction.

So even a leadfoot should not get 7 mpg unless something else is wrong. I would think I would get 11 to 12 in city only. And I don't like the look og a step side.....

I dunno what I'm doing wrong then. I guess it's the short trips to lowes and such. I get 12.7-13.5 on the highway with some city traffic intermixed (going to and from the highway, usually).

I have no idea what would be wrong, everything is running well, new cat, front 02, fixed plenum, 3923's.....blah blah blah. Dunno.
As long as I drop below 6 I'm okay. I have my 76 for sub 6 mpg. lol
