Default Engine and belt rotations

Is there a diagram that shows which direction the crankshaft pulley turns and serpentien belt rotation should be turning on a 1995 ram 1500 5.9L gasoline engine.
The book i have shows a belt sequence that would turn the water pump
counter clockwise.
The 5.9L water pump is designed to turn clockwise looking at it from the front of the engine ???????????

So if the WP turns counter clockwise, this means the back side of the impeller pushes (forcing)the coolant out of the way ??
I was under the impression that the impeller blade actualy scooped clockwise into the coolant and pulled it into the pump core.
Im wondering if i have clockwise water pump when it should be a counter clockwise WP ????
I purchased a new GMB high volume WP and have nothing to compare it to.
Which way should the impellers be facing to work properly for a counter clockwise wp ???????
My new ram 5.7 Hemi definately has the WP turning clockwise.
Both my other trucks are out of town till winter, so i cant check their rotation...
Standing in front of vehical looking at engine..
Can anyone explain this to me ????? Does the impeller scoop into coolant or push it away with the back of the blade ?????
HELP .....

As long as you have the belt routed correctly for your truck, and purchased the correct water pump, you should be fine.

Water pump is a centrifugal pump. Basically, what that means is the vanes toss coolant to the outside, forcing it thru the cooling system, and sucking it in from the radiator.

The impeller of a centrifugal pump is designed to push (or sling if you prefer) the liquid.

Yes, i see there is a sling design to the impeller.
The GMB hi volume pump i purchased looks like most basic wp, except there is round disc welded to the face of the vanes that covers all but the very tips.
By sealing off the outer surface of the vanes the coolant moves at a quicker pace.
I am sure there are more quality features to this wp than i can detect.
Thank you. appreciate the help.
