Pretty sure the frames are even the same. If you are really serious about this, buy my '95 and you will get D60's as well as a complete NV4500 swap with a badass clutch and all the spare parts you could ever want

With no rust as it's a southern truck.
I'm sorry, no real input other than well-wishes on your next project.

Dude if I could afford it lol
And I wanna swap because overkill that's why
I can also hear my axles starting to whine. I've seen matching 60s with 4.10 gears on Craigslist for a grand. So why not?
Also my leafs are worn the hell out.
Also I love working on my truck and actually modding it, not just buying a 2500 which is more practical haha
Ahhhh god I just remembered how much I want a manual

Do you have the HD truck? Because I've heard they're same or that there's a LD frame or a HD frame.
A grand for a pair seems to be the norm asking price, all I can say is they better not need a single part for that price. I paid $350 for my pair and sold some of the parts off them and made most of that money back, but I have had to spend more than that to get them up to snuff. Best of luck on the diff hunt.
