Looks like my 97 Laramie needs to have the grille replaced. I want the same look either "chrome" or painted. What have you guys used?? The plastic to fasten on with is broken on several spots
^You mean you guys up there actually have junkyards with Rams that have grilles intact?
Because when I went several months ago, all the grilles had been ripped off and were in the beds...
You should be able to go to your local junkyard and pick one up for no more than $10.
Price depends on location, not to mention your quoted price sounds like the clown who was pissed I wanted $75 for the front bumper from my second Gen. He lectured me (via e-mail) that he could get one just as nice from a junkyard for $25. I ignored him and wound up selling it to a guy in Kansas for my asking price.
Suffice to say, most "junkyard prices" people come up with seem to match the price list of either Pull-A-Part or a price sheet from 1972.
Meh, guess it's just around here then. I got a perfect grille for my buddy's 78 Dodge pickup, and a perfect 98 Ram sport grille for $10 a piece at 2 different places. As far as bumpers, I did get a (almost) perfect rear bumper for $25 at the same place that sold me the sport grille. I'm gonna try to get wheels off of them next. They had a good set of 06-08 OEM Ram 20's for $200, was a little late on that one though.
