I've got a gull wing Delta box, like it just fine. Mine stands a couple inches taller because of the headache rack.

I got a tractor supply tool box on my truck, its black powder coated aluminum. I don't have any problems with it except for the locks get really stiff but I rarely keep it locked.

I got a cheap black plastic tool box off craigs list for $20. Locks don't work at all but keeps my tools dry when I use it. Don't use it to often though.

Depends a lot on what your needs are. If you intend on keeping a bunch of expensive tools in it, or something real heavy (floor jack, etc), get something metal. Like Johnn123, I got mine off craigslist for $20. A plastic gull wing style box. It's plastic but looks like black diamond plate. I actually found one on the side of the road in my neighborhood that someone was throwing away the other day, if you were closer I'd give it to you for free.

i originally had a UWS deep well gull wing. i didn't like the deep well because it blocked too much of the bed. i also hated the gull wing design because its too hard to get anything in and out of. and, if you ever put anything over in the middle - you might as well throw it away because you can never get it back out.

i traded it for a medium depth, Better-Built brand, but also a gull wing. you can slide lumber or ladders under it, also rubber-maid storage boxes. i still hate the gull wing.

next was a UWS single lid, standard profile, 69 inches wide. i like the 69 because it leaves the stake hole exposed so i can hook a strap into it. a 72 will also fit, but it covers the hole. i love the single lid. you can put anything into it, and still find it, and get it out when you need it.

i don't like the low profile. less capacity and no storage on the edge.
i liked the sturdy lid of the UWS over tractor supply, northern tool, lowes, which were all too flimsy. home depot had a sturdy lid, but nothing in high-profile.
i also don't like black. the paint chips off and looks like ****.

Mine is like 15 years old, has cement all over it, and has a rusty latch and lock. Looks decent from afar and holds my crap.

I have a black "tough boy" or something like that. Dad use to use it but I have never had it on. It's a good one though

It's on my trailer now
