Ditto, the easy part is done. How I'm going to get everything to line up, on a sloped driveway is beyond me. But I'm having a couple strong drinks to help me think it out. It has to be back together by Saturday morning, it's my daily driver! So you won't have to wait long.

I was taking the lugs off my truck, don't even remember why.... using a ratchet, long breaker bar, and an IMPACT socket...... I was leaning down heavily on the breaker bar.... and the next thing I knew, I was flat on my back, with three people standing over me, debating on whether to call an ambulance... Seems my socket blew apart, I bashed my head against the fender, and knocked my happy *** out for a couple minutes..... I did have a POWERFUL headache......
After that, I paid more attention to where I would end up if things didn't go quite according to plan.
Of course, I always figgered, it ain't real job if you don't bleed on it.

You ran into that problem didnt you Merc? Why is it a bigger master cylinder is needed? Weight of the 60's?

^^^ Yes I had this problem. The 8800 gvw caliper piston dia is much bigger than the 4500 and the 7500 calipers, so a larger master was needed to match the bigger piston size. If I was running the 7500 calipers on a 1500 truck/diff I would really look at installing the bigger master.

Best of luck to you on the swap. I'm looking forward to the results.
