Went and looked at the Dana 60. It's out of a 97 2500 Cummins with the 4.10 ratio. The guy sold the motor to a farmer for an irrigation motor and is parting the rest out. I asked about the transfer case and no one had asked about it. He said I could have dibs on it for 100 bucks plus whatever his friend would charge to take it out, so like 25 bucks he said.
My question (hopefully Merc chimes in here about this) is, is it worth it? The sticker under the hood said it's a 241 standard duty. I'm sure it's still better than mine but not entirely sure.

Either way the t-case LD or HD is a good upgrade over the 231. I am rebuilding mine before I install it.
