FireDodge's 360 Build
Decided that we're going to be rebuilding the Cummins. I will be ordering the kit either this week or next and we'll have a busy weekend in a few weeks! Had some other bills come up recently, but should have enough saved up soon. This will probably save me some trouble down the road if I choose to mod it further. And yes, I will be ordering studs as well.
Yes he did. The previous owner is my best friend. He's helping me rebuild the motor and everything as part of our agreement. I helped him out of a financial pinch by getting the truck.
Awsome, I envy you. My best friend owns a 95 Cummins 2wd and it has got to be the best 12 valve I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Once again, congrats and I look forward to your progress. K.
Thanks! I have big plans for it in the future along with my 1500. I was never planning on buying a diesel this soon but opportunity presented itself!
Little update:
Not much has happened lately. Christmas took it's toll on my wallet and things came to a stop for awhile. But now the Cummins is over at the shop to get worked on, I'm just waiting for my mechanic to have time to help me work on it.
And just last night I spoke with a guy a few hours away from me in Kansas who bought a 2nd gen Cummins that had a lift on it. He is doing a crawler project with it and going to coilovers, high pinion ford Dana 60 front, and different leafs in the rear. So he was selling the entire lift, including anything that has to do with suspension, for 500 bucks. I dealed a little bit and now I'm getting a 7inch skyjacker lift (coils, arms, pitman, rear lifted leafs, etc..), a heavy duty crossover steering setup, and his rear 60" traction bars (that I will be selling to a friend) all for $475.
