I'm a dummy in this area....what is "canned" tunes? And with only bolt on mods, do I even need more than basic tunes?

A Canned tune that Sean or Superchips use are generic tunes that are preconfigured for the average vehicle. They have enough play in them to allow for most bolts on. A custom tune is designed specifically for your motor and your mods. You just need a canned tune.

Can anyone share a reason for spending an additional $120?
It's probably a matter of personal opinion, I would like to SCT Tune my truck and the X2 prices' weren't bad, but $400 for "canned" tunes is too much.

I decided to go with the SCT from hemifever. After speaking with Sean he sold me on more power and better shifting with his versus the cheaper one. I will let you guys know how it works out!
