Thinking of selling Ram...Hate to....

Only have $3K in Yota from back in 2005. Ram is more comfortable to drive but fuel efficiency is less than Yota. But most driving would be in Charger. Just don't really need two trucks. Yota getting close to 290,000 miles. Replaced original water pump and timing belt back in October,
Probably have close to $8 - 9K in Ram. And I really like the way it runs/sounds.

I feel your pain. I'm also thinking of selling my RAM (1997 Laramie 1500). I's breaking my heart, but I am now taking care of my elderly father and my mom is in the nursing home and neither of them can get into the truck. Plus, I haven't had a steady job in some time and the truck is killing me financially (gas, repairs, etc.).

When I picked up the Ram, it was a certifiable POS and I knew that it would not be cost efficient to repair. But between the learning experience of hardening the tranny, and a first paint and body project, the value was not monetary. The other mods were just for fun!

Yes, that was my point, but trucks of that vintage are going for 2000-2500 around here for a 2wd. 4wd maybe 3-4. You're asking almost $10,000. But, like I said, good luck and I hope you get that Charger! I love those cars. My very first car, way back in 1977 was a 1969 Dodge Charger (Go General Lee!), that started my love affair with Dodges.

Not necessarily set on it, but most likely. If they don't offer enough trade, I'll keep and private party sale. Spent over 7 years in automotive finance, and over a year selling cars and trucks, so won't fall for BS gimmicks. Not going to give it way, a 5 speed, X cab, 4x4 Yota brings a premium here.

I know that average buyer would laugh, but I'm not interested in average buyer. Only guys like us on DF can appreciate the extras and value of a well restored truck, and even thin I know I am on the high side, but that probably speaks to how much I do or don't really want to sell. Of course a reasonable offer would be entertained, but certainly not what book shows. It is all about motivation.
Just looking for better selection on Chargers...I want a better selection from which to choose. Would hate to buy one and then find something better the next week!
