Never really gave thought to the defogging the windshield, and I'm kinda worried the little bastards that thing my trucks a holiday inn are in there somehow. With all this said even if I left all this in would there be a way to make a water proof dash so I can pressure wash the inside too or no?

guess it depends...lot of electrical stuff behind the dash...

also if the early 2nd gens are like the late second gens, the temp control blend door uses an electric motor to actuate it, but uses vacuum to operate the vent selector.

Motor showed up in 99, previous versions used a cable for the temp door.

that's what I thought, but wasn't 100% positive.

thought I saw that on a friends 1500 gasser.

I know my 2000 def has the motor. I had to replace it after it got engine coolant all over it

Yea this ones a 96 so it's still the old style dash so I'll know more next weekend gonna finish tearin it apart next weekend so I'll know just how much damage is done
