Default Sold my Old Girl

I'm sad that I sold my 99 Ram 2500.... But I'm looking to get a 2014 1500 just not sure which one yet.. I'll be doing some research before buying one.
Right now I'm leaning towards a Black ram express with a V6, 8 speed trans, air suspension and some other extras.. Nothing fancy I don't need lots of bells and whistles. So I'll be moving to the other section on the forum..
I will stop back to check out the post and pics of the 2nd gen trucks..

Gonna go from a 3/4 ton, to a half ton truck? Are you going to be able to live with the reduced capacity?

I work at a dodge dealer and after driving the new v6 ram....they're gutless. Its not enough motor to move that truck. With the home you only lose 2 or 3 mpg but gain a ton of power. Just my opinion. Have fun with your new truck.

LOL it really is,

And it's all paired with a race engine.

A good engine in the 5.7L "HEMI," but not a great TRUCK engine IMO

I drove a 2012 2500 4x4 with the hemi, pulling a trailer (empty on the way down, about 4000 pounds on the way back.) about 500 miles round trip. I LOVED it. Plenty of power, ran smooth, no surprises. The truck barely noticed the trailer was even there. You DID notice it when coming to a stop..... but, even that wasn't even a minor concern.

I have driven the 1500s. And riden Ina Friends several time. They are defiantly fun and have tons of power.

I just don't feel like I'm driving a truck. Maybe the 2500s are different. Maybe I'm just being cynical. Idk

I think those are interesting. But they actually have less tow rating the HEMI. But I know the idea is to have a truckish platform with car mileage.

After having a second car to use as my DD and good MPG. I think trucks should stay trucks and do truck things. Which means bad mpg. And for just driving around you should get a cheap(or not) car for MPG.

I know this isn't an option for some people. And I think these ecodeisels could be great for fleet vehicles
