Default Exhaust Ideas.

I've got an 01 1500 5.9. I need to replace the cat so I'm looking at just replacing everything or possibly going with this direct fit flowmaster cat that goes from the manifolds to just after the cat. I'll link it later when I'm on the computer. I am on a budget(college kid with a couple part time jobs) so just looking for affordable ideas that I can save up to get this summer when I'm working fulltime. Also I'd like it to be as direct fit as possible.
Thanks guys

It all depends on your taste and what you want it to sound like. Youtube is your best friend when it comes to exhaust. Im partial to no cat and a glasspack. No drone of a blowmaster, and not too loud. Ive always wanted stacks but cant commit to a giant hole in the bed and the sound right behind my head...

I'm running Flow-master 40's that dump at the axle on this 97. Not sure about an 01 right now, but having to look into it. K.

I just ordered the exact same cat for my 01 because I have an oxygen sensor stuck in my factory one...I'm gonna have it going from stock manifolds (for now) to my flowmaster super 40 and side pipes in front of the rear tire (already have the muffler and pipes on). and it's LOUD...i'm honestly gonna be switching to a gibson stainless system in the future to cut down on the drone at highway speeds.

I'm hoping to have the cat installed this weekend so maybe i'll post up a pic...

I have an offbrand 1 into 2 muffler, magnaflow high flow cat, and shorty headers. Sounds awesome.

I want a little louder so I might go longtube headers over summer and still keep my high flow cat. Might get a flowmaster 44 muffler too.

I'm very pleased with the setup I have;
Pacesetter LT's (ceramic coated), & Y-pipe, Magnaflow muffler, 3" cat back (no Cat) w/4" tip.
Deep note, not tinny, no drone, a little louder, but not too loud.
