Default Lifts

Does anyone know if you will be able to fit 35's on a 2001 dodge Ram Off Road Edition with a 3 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift. My truck currently rubs with the 35s on stock suspension with the body lift but just barely on the upper control arms and only at full turn. My rims also have terrible backspacing so I think that's part of the issue too. I just want to know if a 3 inch suspension lift will be enough to stop the rub and if anyone has pictures of this set up (3 body 3 suspension) on either an off road or non off road.

I don't see how lifting it will help if it's rubbing on the arms. I would recommend different offset wheels or bent suspension arms.

Yup, your wheel offset is the real cause of the problem here. Offroad edition rams can fit 35s with only a 2" level kit on the front (seen it done on another forum). If you're trying to fit 35s then you need wheels with atleast a 4" backspace or so. Dont go spending a bunch of money on additional lift height before looking at the wheel issue...

00 ORE, stock control arms, 3" body lift, 2.5" front level, 4.5" back spaced wheels, 317/70/17 Baja MTZ tires (this tire is slightly narrower (12.4") than a 35x12.5x17 tire).

No rubbing on arms. No kissing the plastic/metal inner fender.

Ran this for little over 2 years on snow and rock trails.

4" BS will touch the fender for sure.

Thanks for the help. Any wheels you would recommend that have the right backspacing for a decent price (not looking to spend a ton of money). Tires are 35/12.5/r20s btw.

Here's link to my wheels so you can see the specs and then research for your 20" size.

Edit: Wow got mine for $125/ea back in 2006!

Do not get a 10" wide wheel.

Here is a list of 20"x9" size wheels for 5x5.5 lug pattern

Thanks! So I'm going to need 4.5" backspacing or less right?
