Expanding your search area wouldn't hurt either. Spending a hundred bucks on gas to save a few thousand on the price of a truck? Yeah, I would do that.
I bought mine out of Des Moines Iowa. No rust, fully loaded and low miles. Nothing here in the northeast was even close in condition or price. Flew out and drove it back for $400. (gas was pricey at the time).

Sometimes, the 'go and get it' plan, ends up being cheaper than finding something locally. That, and you can find 'em in MUCH better condition outside of the rust belt.....
