Default My cosmic Karma levels suck!

You try to save a dollar and let an unemployed mechanic work on your stuff (or a mechanic friend of the extended family) and it always bites me in the a$$!

Rack and pinion steering repaired by mechanic friend of the family...ended up spending another $150 at the shop to finish the job...ended up costing more than the shop would have charged to begin with.

Let another unemployed mechanic do my clutch. Now I'll prob spend another 200$ fixing crap that's popping up in less than 10 miles of driving. Cut my exhaust and used pipe straps and tin sheet to put back together. Changed the oil and spilled oil all over the left side of the engine bay, didn't hook exhaust back on hangers so not the whole dang thing is flopping around. Big a$$ exhaust leak may be the result of the CEL that just popped up.

Left oil from hands, arms, pants, shirt all over the inside of the cab...

Dad swears by the adage, You can tell a lot about the quality of a mechanic by the condition of his tools.

I'm beginning to believe that a mechanic who doesn't give a crap about the condition they leave your car in, probably doesn't give a crap about the left over nuts and bolts or un-tightened bolts.

Rant over....sorry. I need a beer after work me thinks...or 3.

Well, you should have been warned when he said he would replace your rack and pinion steering because these trucks don't have it haha despite what the build sheet says.

That adage is pretty dag on true. Tools are literally the life blood of a mechanic. If he doesn't take care of how he makes money he definitely ain't gonna look after your vehicle

With the 5.7 and towing package will haul 4 kids a the camper without breaking much of a sweat. My 1500 did alright...but the Durango will be much more comfortable for 6.
