^Well, it's not snow here but the temp drop makes me thankful for getting our seasoned firewood stacked for the winter. The old wood stove is toasty with a copper pot of water on top. K.

Just picked up 2/3 cord of firewood today. Go back in about two weeks to get more.

Getting colder everyday. Makes me glad for a shop heater!

16 degrees and snowing here, predicted to let up tonight and return on Saturday. Not that weather forecasting with science these days is any more accurate than throwing chicken bones would be. The Michelins seem to stick pretty well for all season tires, unlike those Falkens that wouldn't find traction even when they were fresh unless there was 300 pounds over the rear axle.

Trans finally bit the bullet on my Z71. Lost 2nd, OD and reverse on my way to work last week. $1800 later, got a fresh rebuild with upgraded parts. Hopefully will last another 200,000 miles.

You going to keep that bowtie truck for that long? You should get a Dodge, after all, that is what Chuck Norris drove in Walker Texas Ranger! ;-)

^My old bowtie was a 67 Chevy all powerful straight 6 long bed..............carried me through a couple of years, (sold it to Dad for pennies), and he used it another 5 years to haul an old no-name tractor mower around. Todays bowtie (90's) 350 and AT tranny's on S10 frames, power many a rat rod I have discovered. Maybe he's on to something Jolly, as I nurse my old 98 through 300k. K.

Thought about selling it, looked at a couple of second gens. But for what I could get for it, I'd be paying about the same amount for another high mileage truck that I would have to sink money into. I plan on keepinG it for a long time.

From the little I've heard of it on the radio it's pretty good. Many people are bashing it but TBH I don't really care LOL. Haters gonna hate... I've got to listen to it a little more before I decided to buy it.

I'm having endless issues with the old wood furnace. If it isn't one thing it's another. And it eats wood like a PIG. I go through about three wheelbarrows of wood everyday. At the best. If I was running it hotter it'd use up quite a bit more.

And the stupid blower motor moves hardly any air so most of the heat goes up the chimney. And the automatic air intake control system isn't working and neither is the thermostat. So I have to manually run the whole shebang. I've had a wood heating place out four times now and they aren't being very helpful either.

And to top it all off it's my birthday and there was already a family squabble. Pretty heated one too. And I had to be up at 2AM to get the stupid furnace going again so I lost two hours of sleep.

And the place I have been using for server management and monitoring isn't doing their job so now I am having to switch to a new place and it's causing some pretty big problems.

I'm having a bad day to say the least.

Oh and whadya know the internet wasn't working this morning so I had to use (gulp) a 26.4K dial-up connection.

And if that isn't bad enough Windows isn't being good anymore either. I need to set up my PC but I don't have any where to do that so I am stuck with an awful Windows XP system right now.

Oh and BTW - Microsoft is still releasing updates to Windows XP. Haha. Some end of support date on April 8th 2014 (M$ are liars) Lolol. They've been almost forced to release critical updates since then, and then some.

oh yeah I've gotta hit the road tomorrow and according to the weathermen it's supposed to snow all dang day long.

I think my b!tch!ng post is about done. I'll edit later if I have more to add

If it's Unix/BSD/Linux and the new outfit lets you down, give a holler. I'll even throw ya a discount for being a DF member.

Good luck with the wood burner.

And happy birthday!
