lift
5" is the limit IIRC. After that you need to worry about pinion angles on both ends. Pinion angle on the front is corrected with a clocking/indexing ring while the rear you knock the perches off, correct the angle and reweld the perches back on in the correct location.
edit: I know what yea mean lol, I started off wanting to do a 3" lift and now ive got a 7" pieced together lol.

so no affect with the spline into the slip yoke? i wont have to extend the shafts?
John what did you do for the rear lift? 7" blocks? or the stack a block? i dont like the stack a block.
every dang kit has them.

The links these guys provided only require that you click on them, review their offerings, select the best fit for your truck. I think from your selection these guys (look at their rigs and sig pics, they've been through this), might advise you when you spell out your selection ie/drive shafts / 4.10 gearing vs 4.56. There is a shop out of town giving me a price for 4.11 gearing which I think is a minimum for this 97 truck. It's run it's last race (close one), so time to make it 50/50 (on/off road). K.
Mine is an Offroad Edition, came lifted from the factory. Looking at it there is several add-a-leaves, I have 6 plus overload spring for rear lift. Stacking blocks isnt a very good way to lift the rear, wouldnt do it on a truck that sees lots of offroad.
Yeah cheaper kits do, more expensive have add-a-leaves.
decided to to the 5" lift. ordered my first part last night, not exactly what i wanted first but its a start. most parts will be coming from top gunz custumz if not all actually. i emailed last week explaining what i want done and they replied back with all i need.
