I think the gassers you can get an IFS but the diesels have the solid axle

My buddy has a hemi 1500. 05.

It has a ton of power. But it's kindve more top end, higher revving power then the mangums.

It's only rated at 40 so more foot pounds of torque then the 360. But demolishes it in horsepower with well over a 100 more.

Yeah my sister had an 05 1500 hemi too before she traded it for a 2011 3/4 cummins, then a year later traded that for a 2012 3/4 cummins. That hemi is a good engine though. That IFS is nice riding.

I was under the impression there was no IFS Dodge 2500?

I think the majority of people in this section are gonna say 2nd gens

Dodge and Ford 3/4ton and 1ton are solid axle. IFS is only on the 1/2tons. Engine doesn't matter. Then there's Chevy with IFS on everything...

Well I like 3rd Gen because that is what I own. My first Dodge truck was a 2nd Gen...........Well that isn't totally true. My first Dodge truck was a 1954 Dodge pick up with the winged hood and running boards stock. That was back in the 70's and was my first vehicle when I got my drivers lic.
My first Cummins was a 2nd gen then I had a 3rd gen with the new 6.7 and now I have a 3rd gen with a 5.9. As long as it has a Cummins in it I'll look at it and might buy it. I looked at some 2nd gen gassers but up here they are too over priced.
Plus I like the Mega Cab so I have to have a 3rd Gen if I'm going to have it.

Yeah the second gens were definitely tougher. I used to pull start 160,000 pound super b tractor trailers with an 01 2500....always got the job done. Was only in the shop once in the 10 years I had it.
