I looked all through the forum and couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to replace all the speakers in my 97 1500. I am lost with the wiring scheme due to the infinity system. Is there a way to bypass it and wire it straight up? If there is how do you do it. I already have all my panels off and ready to go. Please help!!!

 

Grab the 96 service manual, it will have wiring diagrams for the infinity system. The front speakers have amps in the doors, and a couple of the wires are to power those. (and the infinity head unit has pre-amp outputs for just such an occasion.... don't be running amplified speaker outputs to the amps, and then powering the amps, you won't like the results..... neither will your speakers.)
