96 Ram Windshield Trim Fastener Help ?/
Sorry If I double posted but my smartphone is acting dumb.
Hello,
96 Ram 1500 V6 3.9L 2WD
I am trying to find a part number, source, or even a name for:
At the base of my windshield there is a black piece of trim that spans the whole windshield. The nozzles for the windshield washers fit through it. There are 6 or 7 threaded studs that come up through holes in the trim.
A hex head fastener of some name I am trying to find out, fit from the outside, through the hole in the piece of black trim and thread onto the threaded studs that protrude from just below the actual windshield glass.
All but one of mine are gone and it's allowing water to seep through and find its way into the inside of my truck. At least thats where I think its coming from.
I need a name, part number or some way to locate some of the hex head black fasteners to replace the missing ones on my truck. The windshield may have been replaced and this trim would probably be the first thing removed.
If I need to describe better or if anyone has a link to an exploded view of the windshield, I would be happy to offer further info.
Many Thanks,
TorX

That's not just any plastic though, that is DODGE designed plastic. The R&D costs are passed on to the customer. What R&D you ask? The research they had to do to make sure that they come loose about every 50K miles, and you watch them fly off behind you while driving on the freeway......
