That side is the intake. Need to do something with that hose, even if it is just stuffing a sponge into it, to keep it from sucking nasty stuff in.

There will be no performance difference, but, it WILL be louder with the 14x3.

 

I have the same 14x3 and it is a tight fit. Be sure to clean and oil that filter on a regular basis or it will dry out and rot to nothing (ask how I know)

 

Thanks guys! I'll order one of those valve cover breathers off eBay here. And yeah, I figured there wouldn't be a performance increase. It does sound awesome though!


And it probably won't get too dirty but I'll keep it cleaned. Can I just soak it in soapy water and work it around while it's in the water? Then I have some K&N filter oil I could probably use for it when it's dry if that's fine.
