Yea you don't wanna mess with that any way.
Its very sad these 5.9 gassers are really only good for towing a couple jet ski's and thats about it.

Just put a 12 valve in your 95.

I have hauled all sort of stuff with my truck. Couple tons of dirt in the bed... (that was exciting...) And a dump trailer full of mulch, not to mention towing some other trucks around. I haven't had any problems. (aside from my tires being nail magnets.....)

I have hauled tons of crap in the bed. Towed a heavy duty car trailer with a 4x4 s10 and a wrx. Separately.

Just cuz you got a lemon doesn't mean they all suck.

ive towed 7k pounds with my 1500 numerous times, twice with the old 5.2 with 180k on it, and once with my built 5.9. never an issue with either.

ive towed my 4k pound camper tons of times with it, and will be doing so again thursday for labor day festivities.

i think you have some issues with your truck!

Most I've towed is a 4k tt. No problems whatsoever.

I towed about 5k round trip from FL to TN with no problems. With the trans locked in 3rd I hardly lost any speed up hills. Drag my boat with it too. Truck pulls great. Now my 97 Expedition 5.4 is another story. That 5.4 is gutless...

Not saying I don't have problems (to my knowledge it's excellent pending comp test), it still has good power, but maybe I need to get some pictures of this hill I'm talking about! 9500 lbs seems like a lot for a 20 year old gasser to me...maybe I'm just being a little girl about it
