The Official 2015 2nd Gen Ram OT Thread
That is an awesome looking little truck. They sure look good. There is just something about the MJ trucks. I'm tickled pink that my daughter likes the truck. Should have seen her grinning like crazy today when I picked her up from the bus. And she had fun telling the bus driver that the truck was hers.
Too many people buy trucks who shouldn't own them in the first place. Trucks should have a rubber floor covering and not carpeting.
My first truck was a '41 Chevy. It had a flatbed Ford instead of the original Chevy step side box on it. My dad had put it together with a '55 Chevy straight six engine and a 5 speed transmission from like a '39 Chevy ton truck.
It was in my opinion a real workhorse of beasty old buggy. My last truck was a '86 Chevy Tahoe 4X4, V6, 5 speed, with an extended cab and camper shell on it. I know I could have loaded both the '41 and the '86 and the '41would have pulled them both but the '86 would not have.
In between I had some other 'toy' trucks, a Ford Ranger with a 4 banger and auto transmission. Got that one for $200.00 with well over 200,000 miles on it, was mostly rust when I got it but it made it through the winter and into summer which was more than I planned to drive it. Later I got a Dodge Dakota 4X4 with a V6 and automatic.
I sold the Dakota for more than I paid for it to a fellow who needed a transfer case.
I inherited a '53 Dodge custom cab with the flat head 6, three on the tree fluid drive transmission. Used to push snow with that a lot even though it was not 4 wheel drive.
I really liked that old truck. Did not put a lot of miles on it just worked on it a lot. Finally someone offered me more money than I thought it was worth and sold it, kicked myself for that ever since.
