No I dont have a range finder. In Ohio we are not allowed to hunt with highpowered rifles. Only straight walled cartridge rifles. So IMO its not worth having a range finder. So I just step it off where Im hunting.

I set my target up at the back of the property and step it off back to the house.
15,20,25 and 30 yds. Ill sight in my bow with those distances.

This is my back yard. The herd we have around my property has grown and there are 30+ does and babies this year. We also have wild turkeys, quail, raccoons, an elk now and then & a black bear. I never knew turkeys roosted in trees until I saw them doing it here. We have owls and of course all kinds of birds. It is nice to have so much nature around.

Saturday night, I opened the front door to let the cats inside and spotted some odd, brown shapes roughly 60' from the front stoop. The light from the hallway wasn't reaching very far, but once my eyes adjusted I could make out a doe and her youngster. If I'm driving home late at night, I will sometimes scare five or more deer who then tear across the property. There are several places on my land where I've found beds.

I want to lure some turkeys over in the fall when hunting season opens since I missed spring.

Not to argue with ya but I'll take nature and animals any day over people.

I hope we're both stoned, man, because I just don't understand your saying that about something we agree completely on. I get along fine with the bears and mountain lions and whatnot because their motives are clear and sensible, and for the most part they've good sense enough not to **** me off. People, I'm not so fortunate with.

I have no gripe with deer/wild life as long as they stay off the roadways! Driving a brand new car home from the shore one day a deer decided it wanted to be a hood ornament! It got it's wish. Six thousand in damage, Luckily the full coverage insurance picked up the tab.
