I always wondered just how that worked.... if the clearances in that roots-style blower were so wide, that the engine could run with it not turning, one would think it wouldn't be all that effective as a blower either.....

 

That was just for looks, The blower was empty only a carb was inside. They ran the belt from an electric motor.

 

Why?????
