Im looking to hookup the reverse trigger wire from my radio so It automatically switches when I go into reverse. I was told there was a wire somewhere in the cab of the truck that would do what I need, I cant seem to find it though. Would like it inside the cab so I dont have to run wire all the way through my firewall and to the back end taillight.

I don't think the wiring for the reverse lights makes it into the cab....... You could tap right off the switch at the trans though......

 

Is there a wire the would work that comes from the shifter maybe?

 

Not that I am aware of. If you don't already have one, grab the service manual from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W.

 

Nope, no wire. My monitor would only switch on when the camera had power, so I just used a relay and pulled the signal on the reverse lights directly.

 

Is this why songs play backwards when I back up?? ......arghh....
