So I have a D100 or First Gen Ram Bust Hood Ornament I came across in a box of crap I didn't know I had.
It is in decent shape, I mean weathered and aged but not damaged and has the whole mounting pedestal and mounting nuts.
I was debating popping a couple of Holes in the hood near the Grille Plastic of the family DD and Mounting it.
That truck would be the one mentioned in my sig.
That's a stock part so someone may want it. I bought a knock-off one years ago at a truck stop and never had the ***** to drill in my hood. Funny, I drilled 15 holes in my roof for cab lights....
I've seen a few on 2nd gens and they look good. Usually a grandpa driving. Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Beware the grandpa truck. It might just be the fastest thing in sight.
I'm not going for the chromed classic look, but I'm still half tempted to snag a Ram bust ornament and somehow make it black. I've always thought that the Ram bust was one of the coolest bits of costume jewelry ever to adorn a pickup truck.

Krylon?
I myself am surprised these things are plastic cast molded....I mean I am totally blown away at the attention to detail on a genuine one. No room to argue about it being on a level of it's own that will trump any knock off repro.
Here recently I have seen a few really stupid looking, low (almost NO) detail, and has these really bad cartoon eyes all bugged out that light up.
This one being original and weathered has naturally given it a rough-ish enough surface that I doubt the chrome plate will affect how well the rattler would stick, on top of that I have played with some really nasty rattle can paint.
There is this Krylon Poly/Acrylic I like alot, but.........
Wet or Dry the ONLY thing seems to cut it is a bit of good ol' Gasoline, I don't have the patience to the amount of time and work it takes to get acetone/paint thinner to work.

LMMFAO, not quite sure that's legal, but sounds good enough

Reminds me of my childhood when I would sit on my dad's lap and steer his Mack Superliner. He taught me to put the bulldog ornament on the right line and the corner of the hood on the middle. I remember thinking how am I driving in the lane like this?
If my truck were a 2500 CTD, I would definitely put the ornament on. Somehow on my gasser, it falls in the ballpark of stacks on a gasser.
