I'm discovering that factory sensors are worth the extra $ in time saved. If the test indicates a need to change them out, I'll probably spend the extra 50 bucks and buy the factory ones. I appreciate your candor. Thks

Well, oxygen sensor was the culprit. I pulled the wires,. Warned her up then drove and no stalling. Not sure why it went out so fast. Replaced NGK with Denso. If this one goes south next one will be factory.

Fyi, 2001 Rams have different sensors for vehicles built before 7/5/00. Round connectors vs square connectors. The round ones show up as California emissions capable. Interesting, eh? 😁

Yes, there were a lot of threads back in the day about the confusion on 00-01 sensors. The best way was to just order whatever you visually had on your truck, not the model year, per se.

I have always found that if I take the old one in with me I have better luck getting the right new one.
