Off road package rant/rave

Buy a regular 1500 4x4. Swap out the gears for 4.10 and True-tracs front and rear. Add 2" tall Superlift coils up front, and a 2" rear add-a-leaf, and 285/75/16" tires of your choice on rims of your choice. You'd come out ahead of what they want for the off-road edition trucks, and you'd be slightly taller and have better traction than the off-road edition trucks.

Had I had the job I have now about 5 months ago there was an 01 1500 qc sb sport with leather and everything that was an off-road package for $7000 but it only had 62,000 miles. I would've bought that thing in a heartbeat. For the miles it was a good deal (for around here anyways) with out the off-road package. I may look for a lower miled one instead of an off-road package or just go v10 route and buy a cheap work car. Been working on my uncle to sell me his immaculate 2000 buick regal supercharged for a DD. Idk that shelby durango has been eating some time and money still. I finally am on my way for tuning that. Been some set backs that are resolved.

I've been watching craigslist for quite a while looking for ORE's being parted out. I want to change over to the tow hook style sport front bumper. It would be nice to have tow hooks on the front just in case, but don't want to spend the big money on a winch bumper. I always seem to find them hours after they're already sold.

So I finally found one that looked like a decent deal that wasn't sold before I could get a look. I drove 7hrs one way just to find out it was all hailed out. There wasn't a single panel that didn't have hail damage on it including the doors. All he said was "I never noticed when it got traded in." I was fuming to say the least. As much as I like that red it doesn't show hail in photos. Here's the truck http://www.wardmillerautosales.com/2...SD_8697032.veh
