96 t-case shifter to 01 t-case shifter

Default 96 t-case shifter to 01 t-case shifter

Hi i have 96 ram 2500 5.9ltr gas i just finished swapping a nv4500 from a 1992 dodge w150 5.9ltr and there is no holes to bolt the t case shifter i am wondering if i can install a 98 or newer tcase shifter where it doesnt bolt to the tranny?

Where is your original t-case?

Another problem you are going to run into is, the 98 and up t-case isn't going to have a provision for the VSS on the output shaft.... which means, no speedo.....

The original t case is in the truck i just cant shift it into 4x4 bcuz the there is no lever cuz the 97 shift lever does not bolt up to the tranny bcuz theres no holes for it

Was there a separate bracket for it? Where did the shifter on the trans donor truck mount?

The donor truck shifter mounted on the pass side the tranny came from a first gen dodge

Ooops.

Trouble is, the newer (98 and up) t-case shifters are a different pattern.....

Thats ok i figured it out i cut out a piece of sheet metal weleded it into where shifter comes through ground it all smooth then measred on the 98 where the tcase shifter is suposed to be mounted n cut n cut holes installed the 98 tcase shifter bucket hooked up the shifter linkage n bam she has 4x4 now
