Yes, sounds like it will keep you busy, but that work will pay you back in dividends.

Yes, i do know that the 2nd gen Rams did come with 2 different steering box ratios. 1:15 and 1:18. I think the 1500s and some 2500s came with the 1:15 boxes.

Steering box in this one got replaced at some point in the past, I think they but the 1:18 in there, as it drives a LOT different than the 96.... I actually liked the 96 better in that respect, but, that one is pretty low on the priority list. (maybe, if the 96 doesn't sell, I'll yank the steering box, go thru it, and put it on the 98.......)

Any idea how to REMOVE window tint? I don't think it's factory, and it makes everything out the drivers window blurry.

I am going to talk to my boss at work, in a previous life, he was a paint and body man. See if he is willing to help me out.

310hp/450tq I think. A LOT more power than the tired 360 in the 96.

The lockup on mine hunted around quite a bit too. I just put it down the 3.55s and the death flash. Hemifever's tuner put an end to that.

On mine, even at steady-state cruise, ANY even very tiny change in throttle position will cause the tcc to unlock/lock.... It's REALLY annoying.

I removed the tint on my truck. Was super dark aftermarket tint from previous owner. Was easy to remove, just used a paint scraper / razor blade to lift the tint on one corner, and i slowly pulled the tint off. Mine came off in 1 piece.

Usually the tint will come off but the adhesive stays. That's the hard part to get off. Just use windex and let it soak in a while before scraping it off with a razor blade. It's a real pita!
