Default 315/75R16 BFG Mud terrains

Finally got my 315/75R16 BFG Mud Terrain T/As mounted this week. They measure 34" diameter, 10" tread width, 33" from top of tire to ground at 30 PSI. Minimal rubbing at full twist (2 wheels off the ground ) while turning. I can definitely feel the height difference getting in and out of the truck. I'm showing an even 24" to the floor boards from the ground. I was expecting a bigger difference in the speedo reading, but 70 became 73. Enough chatting, time for the pictures.

Fills them wells gooood
Rub mark after full articulation... Or at least as much as this stock toy will give me. About 1-1/2" wide, finger for comparison. Slightly less on the passenger side.
Height difference between 285/75R16 BFG ATs and 315/75R16 BFG MTs.

Last picture isn't the best, but you can kind of see the size difference in the new tires from the old.

is the rub area metal or plastic? Could you warm it, and hammer it back out of the way?

Looks good.

I note the door says 1500, yet you have eight lug axles? (hard to keep up on what everyone does to their trucks here.....) Different door? Or axle swap? Do you have any additional lift, aside from the 3/4 springs??

The rub area is the plastic inner fender. Heating and reshaping is a good idea, Thanks.

As for the 1500 badge with 8 lugnuts, I swapped my 1500 cab onto a 2500 frame a few years ago. It was a bit of a project, but not too bad.

Now if i can get the picture options to work from my laptop I'll add the older picture in. Photobucket wouldn't load earlier and this site wouldn't show the browse option.

Ah, that explains a lot.

A heat gun, or even a fairly mean blow-dryer, should be enough to heat it up enough to deform it, and get it out of the way. I think a torch would be overkill.
