Default New Coopers, back to 245's

What do you think of the new shoes?
I had 265's but didn't like the way they performed.
Has anybody else changed back to smaller size to increase drivability and handling maybe gas mileage.

May either paint the steps or drop them all together.

OR should I screw the whole thing and get the 265 ATP's

I have 30 days to change my mind. (Discount Tire).

Any thoughts are welcome good or bad.

Here's my experience:

RUN AWAY FROM THE ATP AND COOPER IN GENERAL!!!!!

Suffered horrid wear and vibrations that kept me up at night, lost tons of money at various repairs tracing the vibration, and then this:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...per-tires.html

Everyone I asked about the bad wear / scalloping claimed it was my truck's fault, e.g. alignment, worn parts, etc. Well, I had all new steering installed, hubs, steering box, alignment twice, et al, and they still wore terrible and vibrated. Then I get a call from my Dad who also has ATPs on his 05 Tahoe and they are also wearing badly and vibrating. It is a very rough shaking and buzzing that makes you wonder what other parts it could be as it doesn't seem like tire vibe.

Discount was so sorry about my experience that they gave me $200 for my worn set of ATPs towards my BFG AT KO2. Plus a rebate through BFG I actually got a whole set of 285s for $600 in March of 2017.

As for size, its your call. Nothing fills these trucks like 35s so get what you like. My truck is one of those that never looks good with small tires while others seem to really fit well proportionally. My BFG 33s look way too small.

Default Dropped the coopers.

Could not keep from spinning tires, Went back to Discount before the 30 limit and went with the 265 BFG KO2's.
They ride way better then I thought they would, smooth, little noise, and turn in is quick and percise for a AT tire.

Default Funny

It wasn't till I posted the response that I remembered you saying that they are what you chose. Lol. Think the better turn in and road feel comes from the higher load rating. The old 265's I had were light truck and never felt responsive.

This is what I've always used on mine... I get a pretty good life out of them too.
265 BFG AT's are what the engineers tuned the '98Y/M suspension for, but the bean-counters went back to the 245 Goodyear offering.
