Talking Diesel tail pipe?

Hey guys,
I have a 2001 1500 with a 5.2 and a 5 speed. For a while I have been thinking about changing my exhaust set up back to having a tail pipe instead of having it dump out the side in front of the rear wheels. I love the sound but being that it is my daily, the volume inside is a little much for me. So after doing a little looking around I found that the tail pipe from a 2001 2500 cummins looks almost identical except instead of being 2.5" pipe, it is 3" so it would not only flow better but give it a deeper more throaty sound. The mounting locations look to be identical. Has anyone done this before that you guys know of?

Might need an adapter from muffler to tail pipe, but, aside from that, should work just fine.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I figured I would have to use an adapter because it is 2.5" coming out of my muffler right now. should be pretty cool. Ill let you guys know how it goes
