If you have an automatic trans, keep in mind that the stock trans is already barely adequate for the 8.0, it is right on the edge. Going with boost, you are going to go rather well beyond what the trans was designed to take......
Yeah but we can thank the Cummins guys for the abundant info on how to beef up a 47/48re.

It's not adequate, they lessened the motor to match the 47re with the V10, I've already done the gm conversation, bigger pan, better filter, and new drum and bands, have a built trans on stand by when it blows.
did you watch the video?

Not yet. My main computer died, so I am using my laptop, that is normally only used to talk to my truck..... The speakers on this thing suck, and I can't hear squat, and the headphone jack doesn't appear to work, neither does the display port, so I could use my larger monitor..... at least the USB ports work, so I can use mouse and keyboard..... and not the touchpad, and tiny keyboard on the laptop..... I miss my 34" screen...... 15" just doesn't cut it any more.

I plan on doing the turbo come spring, buddy gave me a hx40 that needs a rebuild and another buddy has a intercooler and piping I need
Hardest part is connecting both sides into one then running it to the turbo. Not much room in the engine bay with a V10 and I'll be curious to see how you did it.

Hint, run drivers side manifold/exhaust under engine to pass side, upsidedown pass manifold and spacer off block, then collection chamber to turbo
I know there's a few of us who love our v10s but aftermarket support was never very good, especially now that they haven't been made for 15yrs. So when I came across a company that makes a bolt-on procharger kit I was pretty excited, gonna have to save for a while for it though. I contacted them and they said $6000-7500+ depending on extras you wanted with the kit. SD concepts truck systems
