Default V10 Supercharger - Found one at last

I know there's a few of us who love our v10s but aftermarket support was never very good, especially now that they haven't been made for 15yrs. So when I came across a company that makes a bolt-on procharger kit I was pretty excited, gonna have to save for a while for it though. I contacted them and they said $6000-7500+ depending on extras you wanted with the kit. SD concepts truck systems

That could be great fun, but, you would have to do something with the trans as well. The 47R? is already pretty much maxed out with the 8.0 even in stock form.....

Well thats one thing the diesel guys have done for us. Its not hard to find a 47re built to handle some serious abuse.

Seems to me the 48 should bolt up behind the 8.0 as well....... either that, or the 48 hard parts in the 47 case? I know they make some billet parts for these, but, that's some big bucks.

Default Is it completed?

Did you ever install it? Been playing around with either a 24v swap or supercharger

I never bought one, did a cam instead. I have yet to update it with a 0-60 run. Its not bad for stock gears on 35s.

Where did you get the cam? I stubbled on a YouTube of a guy that put a turbo on his v10 and it's pretty sweet. Costed him like 1,300 all done stock tune and motor with 6psi.

There are no new cores at the moment, ever since covid that is. I found a cam in a core motor and had it reground by crower but I'm sure comp or anyone who used to offer magnum v10 cams could do it. I highly doubt that guy's v10 will survive long on a stock tune. Even with a tune mine moved more air than expected and was at 16:1 initially at the top end. I couldn't imagine doing that under boost. I suspect he has something there to trick the computer into dumping more fuel. Do you have a link? This is intriguing me. I got access to a nice welder now and need a project lol.

If you have an automatic trans, keep in mind that the stock trans is already barely adequate for the 8.0, it is right on the edge. Going with boost, you are going to go rather well beyond what the trans was designed to take......
